Preferred casting and selection for production roles? You bet.

A standing invite to the iconic BLUE EVENT every year? Absolutely.

The best art is created when you’re passionate about the content as well as the folks who you work with.

At BBX, we want to create an environment where anyone can flourish and have the full support of the company behind them.

What does it mean to be a member at BBX?

Okay, I’m in. How do I become an Member?

All it takes is to be involved with one show. Whether that’s acting, tech, front of house, designing, directing, etc, after your first show you are eligible to submit an application for membership. Once approved, you are officially a member!

Sounds great! Does it cost me anything?

Being a Member at BBX is 100% free.

I’m interested in doing a show with you, but I’m not sure about being a Member. Am I required to become one?

However the wind moves you, we support you. We’re happy to have you along for the ride, in whatever capacity.

Once I become a member, what do else do I have to do?

Once you are enstated as a member, involvement with the company each Season is required to remain in good standing.

Requirements apply to each season of the company

  • Participation in one production per season on or off-stage 

    • On stage: Performer, Crew, Musician, Host of event, etc. 

    • Off stage: Front of House, Design, Board Operators, Construction, Social Media/Marketing, Operation Support, Photography, Videography / Video Editor, Sales/Promotion, etc. 

  • A contribution to the “Blue Event”

    • Live entertainment, an item or service for the silent auction, or set up/take down help.

A yearly fundraiser wherein company and community members alike gather for revelry and to raise money to fund our upcoming endeavors!

Blue Box Board of Directors

Each calendar year, the current Board of Directors accepts applications from our membership to join the Board.

Although we do not always bring on new Board Members, we consider each application we receive very carefully.

Requirements for Board Membership:

  • Be a company member in good standing 

  • Complete an interview with our two founders Chella Anderson and Grace Siplon

    Expectations for Board Members

  • Perform a production role (Directing, Producing, Stage Managing) for at least one production per season

  • Attend bi-monthly board meetings

  • Attend Production Meetings (as/if applicable)

  • Act as head of one of the Company Departments

  • Assist in fundraising events

  • Participate in the selection of upcoming seasons
